Meet the Doctor!
Dr. Asifa Pathan was born and raised in England; she received a BS in Psychology from University of California Davis, and then earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed a three year surgical residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York where she had the privilege of being the chief resident in her final year.
Dr. Pathan’s residency training emphasized diabetic wound care and limb salvage and therefore she has expertise in all areas of wound care from application of specialized devices to aid wound healing to the application of synthetic skin grafts to close wounds.
Dr. Pathan is a member of numerous professional associations such as American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) and the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association (VPMA) and is Board Certified in Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Pathan resides in Prince William County with her husband. She is friendly and dedicated to patient care and education. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and gardening and is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
